I have a nonsexual lust for Karl

Other than my obvious obsession with Alexander Wang, I also like older men as well. I kinda have a non-sexual lust for Karl Lagerfeld. His gloves and rings and the sunglasses are sexy. I watched Lagerfeld Confidential tonight and was in love the whole time. My mother was watching it with me and appreciated him even though she doesn't have the the same interest in fashion as i do. I don't know if it's his artistic talent that I like, but more his outlook on life. He is totally fine with being alone, and is completly okay with his thoughts. "I'm rather pro-prostitution. I admire people who do it. It can't be much fun. Thank goodness for it. People need relief or they become murderers."(Lagerfeld)I love that hes open about his opinions and doesn't care if people laugh at him when he says porno is good acting ( It's harder to give a blow job than portray emotions)

In conclusion, so what if hes old and apparently mean I don't care he's cool to me. And he can pull of a gold sparkly Dior jacket, which is quite impressive.

Blacks and Blues and Zippers

some dr.martnes, McQ checkered shirt, some 3.1 Phillip Lim tops, and the Alexander Wang bag i've been lusting over for months.

Why so much hate for Peaches?

"Growing up, I was never a casual kind of girl. As early as age 9, I preferred to wear garish, ill fitting ‘80s prom dresses over jeans – usually to disastrous results. I did envy the more put-together girls who had armoires full of perfectly ironed, timeless pieces; they looked effortless in their black or white silk staple skirts and trousers dressed up with a statement bag or Chanel jacket. But at heart, I was a magpie, always rooting through bargain bins at charity shops for, say, a sequined cape, which for some reason I just had to own."
--Peaches Geldof--

She's cute, shes a good writer ( even if she takes her NYLON column a little too seriously) and her English accent isn't annoying like some say. So why so many haters?

Alex because his shirts are supposed to look like you slept (with him) in them =]

Instead of being crazy with my friends at a sleepover i sat and read Elle and stared at the beautiful Alexander Wang T's. And then I took a picture of it...

Luella FW 09

I nearly cried when Luella Bartley's pastel florals, boxy jackets, tweed, and pill box caps never appeared on her Fall Winter 09 Runway. Instead she opted for a junior-high school girl, playing around with military clothes with some crazy punk hair do's.good use of texture, floral is nice

Like the gold lame and how she toned it down with baby blue
Good Layers, Like the tweed and velvet combo...but I miss this =[

3.1 Phillip Lim F/W 09

Love the texture (Note: fur, leather, shiny, and brocade fabrics)
Adore the beading on the white dress, and the use of pattern on the other
Structured v.s Non-Structured jackets

I loved the use of the eggplant tights through out the show. The platform, lace up boots were also a nice touch. And the sleek, city-chic short wigs also helped tie the show together for me.

Spring: girly color

Graphic Top: Urban Outfitters
Boyfriend Jeans: American Eagle
Black Shirt Dress: Urban Outfitters
Rose Ruffle Bag: Urban Outfitters
White button down and tee: American Eagle
Boyfriend Jeans: American Eagle
Brown tote: DSW
Black Shirt Dress: Urban Outfitters
Rose Ruffle Bag: Urban Outfitters
Dark Rinse Skinny Jeans: Delias
White lace blouse: B.P. Nordstrom
High Waisted Button front Skirt: Urban Outfitters
Floral Dress: American Eagle

This spring I decided basics were needed (note: the white shirt, boyfriend jeans, black shirt dress) and color was a necessity since I've spent all winter cozy in blacks, grays, and blues.

PS. I kinda stole these from my parents closet since they are technically birthday presents :] and I got caught but a mischievous attitude let my photo shoot continue

Proenza Schouler F/W 09

Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez are hot and youthful. So are their clothes. The combo of rich tweed and silky jewel tones helped keep the show interesting for me.

purple and black=hot
love the detail on the bust
yay for tweed corsets!
the top looks cozy, and love the laced up boots
kinda obsessed. shiny, cut up, and violet is perfect

Doo.Ri F/W 09

I first saw Doo.Ri's stuff last spring when she did brights and sleek lines so the texture and dark colors were sort of a surprise to me. The lace tights are very fierce. And the draping and use of wet look was classy not trashy

love the architectural details on the jacket
draping on the skirt is very classy
perfect use of wet look
adore the high waist, not loving the fur though

Anna Sui F/W 09

A very typical Anna Sui show full of layers, patterns, texture, and color.
Love the detail on the jacket
beautiful use of color and the texture of the tights look very rich
teal and purple with feathers are beautiful
heart the lace and vertical stripes

Update

despite my initial disappointment with Targets Thakoon collection, I managed to pick up a preppy sweater and striped tee just in time for spring weather to come rolling in. Since it is mid-winter break, I've obviously been blogging more (probably on account of fashion week) but I also am going to the mall finally, getting my hair chopped off, and hopefully finishing the homework I have due on Monday. But in the meantime I'll be reading my new ELLE and watching Soap Net and The N after playing wii fit.

Welcome to Betsey Crockers Kitchen

Feast your eyes on this

Instead of a signature cartwheel at the end of the runway, she opted for no runway at all. Instead a kitchen inspired showroom to showcase her fall/winter designs. Fashions most playful designer said the clothes were artsy yet very real.

Erin Fetherston FW 09

polka dots and hair bows, its a little girls dream
ice princesses
It's like Valentines Day straight out of a whimsical Fairy Tale

The designs were strong yet precious, pushing the designer away from her standard fare. This line was a success in the eyes of Style.com and a personal favorite of mine.

Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 09

aqua, faux-hawks, and florals
belts, brocade, and velvet
There is nothing better in a recession than 80's hair and brights, thanks Marc Jacobs

Preen Fall Winter 09

Because anyone if anyone else did cutouts and skittle brights it would be considered tacky

Nobody does skittle brights betteragain with the candy brights

the classic LBD with a touch of little girl flair
reminds me of marc jacobs, which is a good thing
like a sack with more color
I can't tell if its the dress or the model, but something is intriguing
Love the use of pattern and cutouts

the anti little black dress
