I just might have a serious addiction...

to magazines.

Yesterday i decided to clean out under my bed (a very scary place) and discovered I had 150 magazines under there. The number isn't huge but when layed across my bedroom floor we had a problem. With everything ranging from last months nylon to marie claires from 2006 and the last issues of Cosmo girl and teen people the clutter was some what over whelming. I managed to throw away 50 (mostly old Girls Life and Cosmo girls) but I couldn't bare to throw away the rest in fear i will throw away the one with that one spread I loved or the one ad for this and so on. Maybe In the future I'll get over my addiction (or just continue it hehe) or I could take up a hobby of magazine sculpting which for the record is f-ing cool.

Fake

About a year back i posted a rant all about fake purses and how I hate them so much. I finally found the perfect article stating why I hate them so much.

"It is estimated that up to 7 percent of our annual world trade — $600 billion worth — is counterfeit or pirated; that fakes are believed to be directly responsible for the loss of more than 750,000 American jobs; that everything from baby formula to medicine is counterfeited, with tragic results; that counterfeiters and the crime syndicates they work with deal in human trafficking, child labor, and gang warfare; and that counterfeiting is used to launder money, and the money has been linked to truly sinister deeds such as terrorism."

'I remember walking into an assembly plant in Thailand a couple of years ago and seeing six or seven little children, all under 10 years old, sitting on the floor assembling counterfeit leather handbags,' an investigator told me... 'The owners had broken the children's legs and tied the lower leg to the thigh so the bones wouldn't mend. [They] did it because the children said they wanted to go outside and play.'"

It's stories like this that make me so upset when i see a girl carrying a fake "chanel" or a fake "coach" bag.

Girl Crushes

I feel like all fashion lovers have girl crushes. those effortlessly beautiful women who just always seem to look chic no matter what they where. I'm in love with cover girls Ashley Olsen and Emma Watson recently. And I've always adored Alexis Bledel and Zooey Deschanel and Anne Hathaway.

I'm completly obsessed with Marie Claires September Ashleys pictures are so beautiful and I love the interview too totally reminds me of Influence.

My new obsession...

I recently fell in love with jcrews flirty ruffled blouses, casual cardigans, plush blazers, and chic skirts. If only I could afford the hefty price tag of my wish list...I'm hoping to find similar styles a little cheaper.

I'm totally into the laid back style of a blazer with skinny jeans, I made this look more summery with gladiator sandals and a tunic.

Even though on an average you would look like a tourist straight out of 1993 I love the combo of light denim and crop tops. And the bag reminds me of vacations

Lately I've been obsessed with dainty florals, and when on shorts they look less little kid-ish. Especially when paired with a light denim jacket

Love a boxy dress with a fringy vest. It seems so hippie-ish but in a good way of course.

Texture..Volume..Color

The stunningly beautiful Emma Watson did the front cover of Teen Vogue for August issue. I am absolutely obsessed with the royal colors, brocade prints, big jewel toned bows, voluminous skirts, and lace. I really want to tie in these looks for my personal fall wardrobe.

Alexander Wang Resort 2010

Love Alexanders take on a classic trench. The sleveless look really makes it look edgy especially with the black belt

If anyone else did a steel gray "rain coat" it would look trashy, if Alexander Wang does it no one even cares

Obsessed with the sheer sweater

Love the draping of the hoodie, I'd love to see it paired with patent leggings and neon blue nylon nike dunks.

Light denim and khaki would just seem so florida tourist if it wasn't done by Alexander Wang.

Meet my little friend Karl Lagerfeld

Sometimes my Rabbit Karl goes on adventures....
Karl likes to hang out in the garden, but he doesn't like it when demode designers invade his space.
Sometimes Karl hides in trees to stay away from the photographers.
UH-OH! Looks like someone found Karl.
Then Anna Wintour attacked him, Poor Karl

Dear, Blog...Sorry I don't write on you anymore

With a birthday (sweet 16) and tons of homework ( it was the end of the semester) i've had barely any time for fashion. All i've done that is fashion related at all was draw pairs on shoes in commercial art class at school, along with blenders, exercise tools, and desks ( it's a product design unit) I got some fun markers and a sketch pad for my birthday but unfortuatly the only thing i've done in it was doodle all the colors on a piece of paper and draw a yellow bubble skirt with a pink halter top, because it reminded me of a little girls birthday party dress. If I actually do my algebra 2 homework tonight i'll try to update on fall 09 stuff before bed. But hopefully i'll be posting some outfit posts soon since i have gift cards to spend =] and new birthday clothes in my closet.

ps. Would shoes with heels that you can remove to change the color be something you would buy??
